Cottage Wrist Warmers
I wanted to share a knitting project from the archives. I completed these a few years ago and have worn them to death!
Initially, I created these to wear when I was working as a designer in the San Francisco Bay area. I found myself routinely on job sites in Lake Tahoe during the winter and wanted something that would keep my hands warm while still allowing me to sketch, scribble and scrawl.
After moving back to Chicago with my husband, I found that these were great for layering too! I love to slip these on over a pair of leather gloves when I am wearing a coat with 3/4 length sleeves.
The pattern is a slightly modified version of Lion Brand’s Cottage Wrist Warmers. I simply continued the ribbing to make them longer and I also used a slightly bulkier yarn.
These have been a staple in my winter wardrobe for years and I have almost worn them threadbare- Do any of you have a favorite fingerless glove pattern for me to try next?
